2016 Census Release: Labour and Journey to Work
Part II of II 2016 Census Release
Statistics Canada is releasing the much-anticipated Census 2016 data. Join us for panel discussions shortly after two key data releases this Fall.
Our first panel was held on November 1st and discussed the Housing, Immigration and Ethnocultural Diversity release, and this second panel session will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, where we will discuss the Labour and Journey to Work release.
The panel includes a senior representative of Statistics Canada who will discuss the core indicators, data access, technical and definitional matters, alongside seasoned Census-users from the private, public and academic sectors who will discuss what the latest data are telling us about Metro Vancouver, BC and Canada. Panelists will also share how they have used similar data in the past, how they plan to use the newly released data, and share tips and advice with the audience.
There will also be plenty of time for networking, questions and audience participation. We are pleased to have the 2016 Census Release Series hosted by the ULI BC, and SFU’s Graduate Urban Studies Program and the City Program.
