Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of our Coffee & Conversations Event Sponsor, WBI Home Warranty.
This month we are delighted to have Rhiannon Mabberley of Westbank and Jake McEwan of Aquilini Development & Construction Inc. join us for coffee and the conversation!
Rhiannon and Jake are prepared to answer questions and inspire discussion surrounding multi-stakeholder developments and Aquilini’s experience co-developing with First Nations communities. Please feel free to bring any questions you may have for our special guests with these topics in mind.
Development Manager Westbank Projects
Rhiannon has been involved in some of Vancouver’s most notable developments, including Woodwards and TELUS garden. From sustainability initiatives to district energy systems to complex permitting and everything in between, Rhiannon’s experience speaks to the finer details of real estate development.
Westbank Projects is one of Vancouver’s busiest development firms, including the Rezoning application of Oakridge Mall. At over 25 acres the Oakridge redevelopment is currently the largest in North America. Incorporating over 2800 residential units, a doubling of the mall, over 14 acres of community space and various amenities, the Oakridge redevelopment aims to redefine the landscape for municipal town centres.
Jake McEwan is the Senior Vice President at Aquilini Development and Construction Inc, based in Vancouver. At Aquilini, Jake leads several major projects being done in partnership with First Nations. Jake is also the founder of Arete Ventures Inc, an investment company and the founder of Jarvis Services Inc, a technology company that will change the way personal services are delivered in Vancouver.
