    We will discuss Tegan’s diverse career path in the public and private sectors, and now as an entrepreneur; key aspects to consider as it relates to project approvals; insight on working effectively with governments throughout the permitting and approvals process; and tips on strengthening your professional brand.

    Channel Project Approvals

    Tegan Smith, MCP, RPP, MCIP, is the founder of Channel Consulting. She has over 23 years planning and development experience. Her gifts are listening and connecting people and she prides herself on providing the most talented team in the industry to meet project needs. Tegan is known for leading teams of subject matter experts to deliver complex and difficult projects. She brings an authentic and engaging style to help project teams have direct discussions, be adaptive, and effectively manage risks, costs, and timelines. She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and holds a master’s degree in City Planning. Tegan is a respected member of the Vancouver real estate community, advisor in the Housing Professionals Mentorship Program, and Board member of Lambda Alpha International Vancouver Chapter. She is a nominee for Vancouver Chapter Urban Land Institute’s Women Leadership Initiative 2021 Outstanding Leader Award.

    Lilian is a Development Manager at Weststone Group specializing in land acquisition and development. She is an SFU Alumni in Business (BBA) and the Urban Design Certificate program.
