    Sabrina Unger

    Managing Director, Head of Research & Strategy, American Realty Advisors

    Sabrina Unger, Managing Director, is the Head of Research & Strategy at American Realty Advisors and is responsible for leading the firm’s research initiatives and working closely with the firm’s Investment and Portfolio Management teams in developing investment analysis in support of new acquisitions and strategy implementation. Ms. Unger is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining ARA, Ms. Unger was a member of the Global Research team at Invesco Real Estate, charged with developing global portfolio strategies as well as authoring numerous thought leadership papers and contributing to the firm’s House View. Before that, she held positions as a member of the research team at Clarion Partners and as a top strategist for a sports entertainment company’s real estate divisions. She has been published in leading industry publications, including Real Assets Adviser, and the research publications of ANREV (Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles), NCREIF (National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries) and AFIRE (The Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate). She served on the NAIOP Editorial Board for the 2016 – 2019 publication seasons, and currently serves as a member of the inaugural editorial board for Summit Journal, the official publication of AFIRE. She was also named a 2022 Woman of Influence by GlobeSt in the Investment Professional category. Ms. Unger holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a master’s degree from DePaul University and has completed certificate coursework at both New York University and the London School of Economics.

    Tom Errath

    Managing Director, Harrison Street

    Mr. Errath joined Harrison Street in 2008 and is the Managing Director of Research and Strategy and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. As the Managing Director of Research and Strategy he is responsible for developing firm strategy and thought leadership globally across student housing, medical office, life sciences, senior housing, self storage, data centers, P3, power, energy, and the utility sectors. Mr. Errath leads new business development efforts for Harrison Street as it contemplates growth strategies into new markets, both domestic and international and complementary real estate segments. He is a frequent speaker on alternative real estate and has written extensively on all the alternative real estate sectors. He was formerly responsible for boat storage acquisitions and asset management at Harrison Street. He is a member of a ULI National Product Council and an Advisory Board Member at Revista. Prior to Harrison Street, Mr. Errath’s real estate experience includes working at Macquarie Real Estate, Heitman and Trammell Crow. Mr. Errath has a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the JL Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

    Liz Ptacek

    Principal, StepStone

    Liz Ptacek has worked in real estate market research for over 20 years, building a broad base of knowledge across markets, property types, and land uses. Liz joined CoStar Group as a Director of Market Analytics in December 2018, covering multiple major markets in the Great Lakes region. In this role, Liz is responsible for all relevant market reports and video content featured in the CoStar product, as well as market presentations to clients and the broader real estate community. Prior to Costar, Ms. Ptacek was the Senior Credit Portfolio Executive for Real Estate and Head of Research for KeyBank. Liz built Key’s first real estate market research group, developed proprietary market views for the residential and commercial markets, and produced the KeyBank Macroeconomic View. As the Senior Credit Portfolio Executive, Liz worked with her partners in credit and the line of business to manage and mitigate concentration risk in the portfolio. Before joining KeyBank, Liz spent 8 years with PNC Bank in the real estate market research group, an internal consulting group that focuses on the market risks associated with PNC’s real estate finance transactions. At PNC Liz was frequently involved in special research reports, focused on different trends in real estate, which were distributed across the bank and externally through various media outlets. Ms. Ptacek began her career in real estate at Economics Research Associates, one of the premier consulting practices in the U.S. at that time. Working out of the Washington, DC office, Liz worked on a variety of assignments, including tax impact studies for civic and convention centers, equestrian center feasibility analyses, and state fair master plans. Liz is a full member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and founding member of the ULI Real Estate Research Forum. Liz received her bachelor’s degree in Russian Area Studies from Dartmouth College in 1992 and her master’s

    Ken Rosen

    Chairman, Rosen Consulting Group

    Ken Rosen is Chairman of Rosen Consulting Group, a real estate market research firm, Chairman of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, and Professor Emeritus and California State Chair of Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Rosen is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute, a ULI Foundation Governor, and a member of the board of directors of several non-profit and for-profit entities that deal with real estate finance and development. He was appointed to the Economic Advisory Board to the Secretary of the department of Commerce by President Ronald Reagan. He has testified on numerous occasions before various United States Senate and United States House of Representatives committees, and the California Senate Judiciary Committee on housing policy issues. He has appeared on CNBC, CNN, the Today Show and PBS discussing real estate issues. He has been widely quoted in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Business Times. He has authored over 100 articles and four books on real estate and real estate finance. He was formerly the Chairman and founder of Rosen Real Estate Securities LLC (RRES), and Chairman, founder and portfolio manager of Lend Lease Rosen Securities, both REIT money management firms. Also, Mr. Rosen served as the special real estate advisor to The Davos World Economic Forum, and from 1985-1990 he was Consultant/Managing Director of Salomon Brothers’ Real Estate Research Department. Mr. Rosen received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.A. with highest honors from the University of Connecticut in 1970. He was a Professor of Economics at Princeton University. Ken has played in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament thirteen times and made the cut three times.
