    Hear from a developer who has implemented the online sales software and in June became the first in Canada to sell a new presale home online; from the CEO of OffPlan™, the software that facilitated the sale; and from the lawyer who has vetted and set up the system for several developers in BC already. The group will explain how it all works, how it conforms to REDMA and how the payments work; how it’s been adopted with the sales team, realtors, and buyers; and where they see things heading.

    Tyler Proud

    CEO, Avesdo Technologies

    Tyler is a passionate entrepreneur and CEO/Co-Founder of Avesdo Technologies, a provider of sales software for new home developers. His strong product focus has allowed Avesdo to transform the home development industry in Canada from traditional paper processes to online and ecommerce solutions. Avesdo recently launched OffPlan, creating the first end-to-end online sales platform for new developments. Tyler previously served as a Director and Chief Strategy Officer at Dye & Durham, Canada’s largest legal technology company, where he was responsible for leading acquisition growth strategy and international expansion. Tyler also serves as a member of University Health Network’s Transplant Foundation and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto.

    Elizabeth Yip

    In her practice, Ms. Yip works regularly with owners, developers, lenders, borrowers and landlords dealing with all facets of commercial property. She has been extensively involved in acquisitions and sales, development, rezoning and permit approvals, commercial leasing, real estate financing and clean power projects. Ms. Yip has spoken and written extensively on land assemblies, strata properties, the development and structuring of leasehold lands, sustainable communities and Chinese real estate investment. She received a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia (1984) and an LLB from the University of Toronto (1987). Ms. Yip is fluent in Cantonese and reads and writes Chinese. Ms. Yip is recognized by Best Lawyers as a leading lawyer in the practice area of Commercial Leasing Law. Ms. Yip’s volunteering experience includes mentoring of young lawyers and real estate professionals membership in the Canadian Bar Association’s Business of Law Committee. She served on the Executive Committee of Lambda Alpha International, Vancouver Chapter.
