    Dave has worked in the field of urban sustainability for more than 15 years, as a planner, consultant and now developer. He enjoys complex problem solving, building lasting partnerships, and working to make cities more sustainable, just, and equitable. Most of his work has been in either strategy and policy development, land use planning and urban design, or green building and climate action. Awards and Commendations: 2019 inducted as a member of "Canada's Clean 50" for contributions to growing Canada's clean economy. 2017 Canada Green Building Council's Green Building Champion Award, recognizing outstanding contributions to advance the green building movement in Canada. 2014 recognized by the Natural Resources Defense Council as one of nine global leaders fighting climate change in cities.     Kevin Quinlan

    Climate Strategist, Manifest Climate Inc.

    As a Senior Advisor with Mantle, Kevin brings his experience in climate risk, infrastructure, and environmental leadership to helping businesses identify climate risk and maximize the advantages of the shift towards a low-carbon economy. During ten years of working in the Mayor of Vancouver’s office, including serving as Chief of Staff, he helped implement an ambitious urban agenda, which securing policy and political support to enable the Broadway Subway as part of a $7 billion regional transportation plan; and approving Canada's first Renewable City strategy, which outlines how Vancouver can shift off of fossil fuels by 2050. Through Mantle, a Toronto-based consulting firm, he regularly works with financial institutions, asset managers, utilities and REITs on how to properly assess climate risk.

    Wendy Waters

    Vice President, Research Services & Strategy, GWL Realty Advisors Inc

    ULI British Columbia, Chair of Mission Advancement Wendy Waters is the Vice President Research Services & Strategy at GWL Realty Advisors (GWLRA), an institutional real estate manager with over $12 Billion in assets under management in Canada and another $4Billion in the US under the brand EverWest. Based in Vancouver, she leads the company's research function; responsibilities include providing analysis of economic, demographic and market trends in order to support long-term asset acquisition, development and management strategies in all asset classes. Wendy has been with GWLRA Research for 13 years, and was previously with Avison Young in Vancouver. She has a Ph.D. in economic history from the University of Arizona. Wendy frequently presents at ULI and other industry events as well as sits on conference panels. She was a keynote speaker at the ULI Alberta Emerging Trends event in 2017, 2018 & 2019 and moderated the ULI Emerging Trends event in Vancouver in 2019.
