Principal, Channel Project Approvals
Tegan Smith is a great listener and questioner, who loves connecting people. She helps project leaders in government, real estate, non-profit and First Nations organizations navigate land use regulations. In recent times, there has been huge changes in who is elected and the staff teams within government. This makes it difficult for those working on complex projects to figure out the bests channel through the approvals process.
Tegan brings an authentic and engaging style to help project teams have direct discussions, be adaptive, and estimate approvals risks, costs and timelines for projects.
Tegan has over 20 years experience as a planning and development professional. She has extensive experience leading development and major infrastructure permitting approvals as well as land use and transportation plans. Her depth of experience spans private and public sectors, including: Hungerford Properties, Port of Vancouver, TransLink, and she has worked with most Lower Mainland municipalities. Tegan is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and holds a master’s degree in City Planning. She is an active member of the Vancouver development community and member of Lambda Alpha International.
Tegan's passion is in working with people at bettering communities. She is currently bringing leadership to impact initiatives in support of BC Children's Hospital, Christ Church Cathedral, Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, and the Aboriginal Mother Centre. She broadens her perspective through travel and reading.
