    Join ULI BC’s Young Leaders Group on Thursday May 29th at 3:30pm at 565 Great Northern Way for a Walking Tour led by PCI Developments (Jared Stern & Kathy Yu) and Low Tide Properties (Adam Mitchell & Claire MacDonald) through South Flats. The tour will focus on strategic investment, master-planned communities, and placemaking in this emerging creative Vancouver neighbourhood.

    The Walking Tour will be followed by Cocktail & Conversations from 4:30 pm onwards, featuring Jared, Kathy, Adam, and Claire, moderated by Neil Bhonsale (Recruitment Consultant at HighView Partners and ULI BC YLG Committee Member) and Kit Mar (Analyst, Asset Management at Manulife Investment Management and ULI BC YLG Committee Member). Feel free to bring any questions you might have for Jared, Kathy, Adam, or Claire about their work, projects, or professional life.

    Following the scheduled programming attendees will have the opportunity to spend some time networking and mingling at Low Tide Properties’ 565 Great Northern Way Rooftop.

    Claire Macdonald

    Asset Manager, Low Tide Properties

    Claire manages Low Tide’s Kitsilano portfolio and is actively engaged with the rest of Low Tide’s neighborhoods in Vancouver. She sets the neighborhood and property level strategic vision for all assets in Kitsilano, handles budget leasing assumptions, and helps manage property operating and capital expenditures. Additionally, she manages the portfolio's performance to meet KPIs set out in the Annual Operating Plan. Her role includes negotiating new leases and renewals—from analysis through to final execution. In her expanded role, Claire is responsible for helping lead placemaking and branding efforts to support the development of the South Flats neighborhood.

    Adam Mitchell

    Senior Vice President, Low Tide Properties

    Adam is currently responsible for providing cohesive, strategic direction to Asset Management, Property Management, and Development functions for Low Tide Properties, to achieve key performance metrics for a diverse portfolio of Creative and High-Tech Office, Life Sciences, Flex-Industrial, Retail, and Multifamily Rental properties in Vancouver and Seattle. Beyond his work at Low Tide Properties, he serves on numerous non-profit boards including for the Urban Land Institute of British Columbia and Catalyst Communities, as well as previous terms on the Mount Pleasant BiA and Downtown BiA.

    Jared Stern

    Director, Investments, PCI Development

    With a decade-long tenure at PCI Developments, Jared serves as the Director, Investments, steering the company's acquisitions and leading investment strategy. Jared has been instrumental in numerous acquisitions, sales, repositioning efforts, and development projects throughout his tenure at PCI. Jared graduated with Honors from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

    Kathy Yu

    Director, Leasing, PCI Developments LP

    Kathy is the current President of CREW and Director, Leasing at PCI Developments, a real estate development and investment company based in Vancouver. In this role, Kathy oversees a leasing portfolio which includes office, retail and mixed-used projects. Prior to joining PCI, Kathy worked at QuadReal as a Director of Leasing for Oakridge Park, one of the largest redevelopment projects in North America. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Commerce, from the University of British Columbia, specializing in Finance and Real Estate.

    Neil Bhonsale

    Recruitment Consultant, HighView Partners

    Neil is a Recruitment Consultant at HighView Partners, specializing in real estate recruitment since 2022. Raised in Burnaby, he was drawn to the industry after witnessing firsthand the transformation driven by real estate development in his community. Today, Neil is focused on continuously deepening his knowledge of the sector and creating value for both candidates and clients through a people-first approach to recruitment. He leads recruitment across a range of real estate functions, including Asset Management, Property Management, Investments & Acquisitions, Development Management, Finance & Accounting, Sales & Marketing, and Decarbonization & Sustainability. Neil is also thrilled to be part of ULI British Columbia’s Young Leaders Group for 2025!

    Kit Mar

    Analyst, Asset Management, Manulife Investment Management

    Kit has worked as an Asset Management Analyst at Manulife Investment Management since 2023. In his role, he oversees a diverse portfolio of commercial assets across BC and Alberta and is responsible for supporting the creation and execution of asset strategies, with a focus on maximizing asset values and investment returns. Kit has been a ULI member since 2022, when he was an Etkin Scholar, and is pleased to continue engaging with the ULI community as a member of the Young Leaders Group.
