Lonsdale Quay Market Originating as a carnival-style marketplace which opened for Expo ‘86 Vancouver, The Quay has developed into a diverse, multi-use community anchor in the Lower Lonsdale area. In 2020, The Quay announced the start of their revitalization project that includes a new 10,000 sq/ft anchor restaurant, an urban licenced food hall, new health and wellness second floor tenants and exterior cosmetic upgrades. Construction is underway with all work to be completed at the end of 2022 and the new anchor restaurant to open Summer 2023.

April 2017, The Shipyards Development, in partnership with the City of North Vancouver broke ground to re-build the historic waterfront machine shop into The Shipyards. With the grand opening in July 2019, the Shipyards quickly became a popular community destination for locals and visitors. The development boasts incredible public amenities including a water park and skating rink that compliment the commercial tenants, including cafes, restaurants, retail and the beautiful, modern-industrial venue, The Wallace.

Quay North Urban Development is responsible for the management of the Pipe Shop Venue, a City of North Vancouver owned property located in the Shipyards District next to Shipbuilders’ Square.

Shipbuilders’ Square houses a community stage for concerts, plays, farmers markets, buskers and general festivals which take place regularly throughout the summer season.
