    ULI BC is delighted to host Wendy Waters, Vice President of Research Services & Strategy at GWL Realty Advisors, for a dynamic discussion that will cover her role at a leading institutional real estate manager as well as her perspective on the opportunities and challenges for the real estate community amid strong population and job growth in major Canadian cities; the latter will include her team’s recent research findings relating to the future of office and rental buildings.

    Nicole is a Senior Development Manager at Create Properties and a Registered Professional Planner. She has overseen the development of various multi-family residential communities in Metro Vancouver and Greater Toronto.

    Wendy Waters is the Vice President Research Services & Strategy at GWL Realty Advisors (GWLRA), an institutional real estate manager with over $16 Billion in assets under management in Canada, specializing in office, multi-residential rental, industrial, and grocery-anchored retail. GWLRA has an active development pipeline that includes approximately 8000 units of new multi-family rental across Canada as well as industrial and office. Based in Vancouver, Wendy leads the company's Research Team, which provides analysis to support short- and long-term strategy and growth recommendations for clients. Research includes modeling the impacts of immigration, migration and demographic change on apartment and office performance; incorporating a climate resilience lens into portfolio strategy; interpreting the impacts of eCommerce and supply chain changes on industrial demand; understanding the short and long term implications of the Covid-19 pandemic for all types of real estate demand, but especially office. Wendy has been a full member of ULI since 2014 and serves as the Chair of Mission Advancement for the ULI British Columbia chapter. She frequently speaks on panels and in the media on topics related to real estate performance and strategy.
