June 2018 Report Highlights:
APRIL // Sales for new units being released and sold within in the month was 43 per cent, likely a result of no recent new high-rises launched, and a relatively low number of homes released.
MAY // As predicted, it was a strong month in pre-sales with 1,560 homes released, achieving a 70 per cent absorption rate of new inventory in May.
JUNE // The forecast for this month is a launch of 17 pre-sale projects, totaling 1,335 homes, with nearly 90 per cent of total inventory coming to market from across Greater Vancouver.
The townhome market continues to be strong with over 1,100 homes released between January and May 2018 in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. The uptake of new townhomes in the Fraser Valley to date is 74 per cent of the 711 homes in the region. This can likely be attributed to the rising sense of community and increasing purchasing power in the Fraser Valley.
