Each year, the Urban Land Institute, in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers, publishes an annual trends and forecast publication for the real estate industry.
The Emerging Trends in Real Estate report has a long history and is the most highly-regarded and widely-read forecast report for the North American real estate market. It provides an outlook on investment and development trends, real estate finance and capital markets, property sectors, metropolitan areas, and other real estate issues. The report draws on formal and informal surveys of real estate executives, investors, developers, and market experts around the U.S. and Canada, including survey responses from over 500 real estate executives and personal interviews with over 125 industry leaders.
ULI British Columbia presents this annual event featuring a synopsis of the report with an enhanced focus on the Canadian perspective. All attendees receive a complimentary copy of the Emerging Trends in Real Estate report (Canada Edition).

This year, we are going virtual, and collaborating with our colleagues and network from ULI Northwest (Seattle & Portland). Join us for a full week of virtual offerings for Cascadia Disrupted November 9 – 13th. Cascadia Disrupted elevates ULI’s annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate event to a regional level. This week-long, virtual conference will feature thought leaders in the real estate and built environment industries from Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver, BC. As we near the end of a chaotic 2020, this event aims to move the region forward towards a revived, resilient, and equitable future.
