The National Research Council of Canada has launched a Public Review that will run from October 22, 2019 to December 23, 2019. The Public Review provides an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed changes to Codes Canada Publications, including:

• National Building Code of Canada 2015 (NBC)
• National Fire Code of Canada 2015 (NFC)
• National Plumbing Code of Canada 2015 (NPC)

Please Note: A final national public review will take place in January 2020, which will include changes being proposed to the National Energy Code for Buildings.

The BC Building, Plumbing and Fire Codes (BC Codes) are based substantially on the model Codes Canada Publications.  Changes to the Codes Canada Publications are typically adopted into the BC Codes.
