Young Leaders Group
The ULI BC Young Leaders Group (YLG) aims to provide members with educational and information-sharing opportunities related to real estate and other affiliated disciplines. YLG programming includes regular tours of local developments, mentoring roundtables, and peer-to-peer workshop sessions, all with the objective to deliver:
- insights from the visionaries who have shaped our neighbourhoods and communities;
- mentoring from industry leaders in casual and candid settings; and
- networking with peers from the real estate and land use professions.
Recent sessions have included tours of a development site on first nations lands and the River District waterfront development in Vancouver, a mentorship roundtable discussion with the Vice Chairman of Colliers International on insights into sales and marketing, and peer to peer sessions on working with lawyers and the role of public relations specialists in the real estate industry. In July, 2013, ULI BC will again be hosting the hugely successful Cascadia Regional Conference, involving colleagues from Portland and Seattle.
ULI encourages new professionals to become involved early in their career so they can begin building key relationships with industry leaders. To make this an easy and affordable first step, ULI offers a special membership to people under 35 years of age. Young Leaders Group members enjoy invitations to YLG-only events in addition to receiving all of the local and national benefits of a ULI membership. Please visit our Membership section to see ULI’s membership structure and associated fees.
